Proshort uses three machines to do its stamping work. The type of stamping work that we do is called blanking.
Our equipment is as follows:

• Pacific 100-ton hydraulic press
• Danly 75-ton mechanical OBI press
• Baltec PWS-610 punching/forming press

Part sizes are typically less than six inches in width and length depending on material thickness as our capability is limited by available press tonnage.

Material capabilities:

• Carbon steel .020" thick up to .187" thick
• Stainless steel .020" thick up to .125" thick
• Aluminum .020" thick up to .125" thick
• Brass .020" thick up to .060" thick
• Copper .020" thick up to .060" thick

Typical part descriptions are washers, discs, blanks, and plates.

Because the nature of our business is low volume/short runs most of the parts we blank are from strips of steel; however, we do have coil feeding capability for higher volumes.
