Quality Control

Integral to making a component for a customer is making it to their print specification. This starts by reviewing the customer's purchase order and determining that the correct print revision is sent to the production floor for manufacturing. A "quality plan" is established for each part we manufacture, from first piece inspection to final inspection, to ensure that the part meets the customer specification. Equipment and tooling maintenance is essential to ensuring a repeatable process. In addition, we have a gauge calibration system in place to ensure that our measuring equipment is accurate.

The equipment that we use to inspect parts features the LaserQC System ��� Model 1200 by Virtek. This system is an automated high-speed laser inspection system for first article inspection, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and reverse engineering of 2D materials. The LaserQC inspects flat parts by 100% scanning the part in seconds and compares the measurements to CAD specifications. The reverse engineering feature saves the need for costly hand measurements and CAD programming.

Other inspection tools used include an optical comparator, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, gauge pins, and gauge blocks.
